Sachin Tendulkar to make Bollywood debut

Sachin Tendulkar will make his Bollywood debut in a film about the miracles of the Hindu deity, Ganesh.

Sachin Tendulkar will play himself in 'Vighnaharta Shri Siddhivinayak'. The movie is based on Mumbai's famous Shri Siddhivinayak temple and will be directed by Yashwanth Ingavale.

The film will be based on the experiences of the many devotees who flock to the Siddhivinayak Temple. Tendulkar, a devotee of Ganesh, will not be charging for the role, it is reported.

Other known names from the cricketing world who had had a stint in Bollywood are Ajay Jadeja, Vinod Kambli, Salil Ankola, Sandeep Patil and Kapil Dev.

Australian speedster Bret Lee will also be making his Bollywood debut in Manmohan Shetty's 'Victory'.
