Michael Fred Phelps (born June 30, 1985) is an American swimmer and 11-time Olympic Gold medalist who holds world records in several events.

Phelps won eight medals in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, which tied him with Soviet gymnast Alexander Dityatin for the most medals of any type in any one Olympics.

Overall, Phelps has won thirteen Olympic medals (eleven gold, two bronze): eight at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens (six gold, two bronze) and five at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (all gold), which gave him the most gold medals of any Olympic athlete of the last hundred years at 11.

Phelps' international titles, along with his various world records, have resulted in him being awarded the World Swimmer of the Year Award in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 and American Swimmer of the Year Award in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007.

So far, Phelps has won a total of 45 career medals: 37 golds, 6 silvers and 2 bronze. This includes all the Championships he has competed in: The Olympics, the World Championships, and the Pan Pacific Championships.

Phelps has qualified to compete in eight swimming events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and is attempting to surpass fellow US swimmer Mark Spitz's record of seven gold medals at one Olympics.

Shelley Malil Biography

Shelley Mathew Malil (born December 23, 1964) is an American actor who has appeared in a number of films and TV shows.

Malil, an Indian American, was born in Kerala, India and emigrated to the United States in 1974.

Acting career

Shelley began pursuing his dream of entertaining people on the high school stage, where his leading turns often earned awards in district competitions in Texas, where his family settled after emigrating to the U.S. in 1974. As a child, he had dreams of becoming a comedic actor like Bob Hope, whom he first saw on a neighbor’s TV set, the only one in the fishing village on the southern tip of India.

Shelley first came to Hollywood in 1995, after a two-year stint at New York's famed American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He had a supporting role in The 40 Year Old Virgin, Holes (2003), Collateral Damage, Getting There (2002), Boys From Madrid (2000), My Favorite Martian (1999), Columbus Day and Just Can't Get Enough: the Chippendales Story and appeared in shows like Scrubs, Reba, NYPD Blue, The West Wing and ER.

Shelley was selected as one of the ”Top 10 Overlooked Performances of 2005” by the Associated Press for his performance in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. RuneScape is a Java-based MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) operated by Jagex Ltd. A couple of weeks ago we had our version of the Teen Choice Awards here in the States. And earlier today the Aussies took their turn, and Emma Roberts was front and center.

The “Wild Child” cutie showed up on the red carpet, posing like a pro for the paparazzi in a flirty strapless black dress with matching platform peep-toe heels and a funky charm necklace.

The third annual Dolly Teen Choice Awards was held at Sydney, Australia’s Luna Park and honored all of Australia’s best in the entertainment industry.

The ‘down under’ version of “So You Think You Can Dance” ended up a favorite of the night, winning the Glued to the Screen gong, while “Home and Away” stars Lincoln Lewis and Indiana Evans were crowned King and Queen of Teen.
