Amity School: Amity International school Gurgaon wins Computer Literacy Excellence Award

Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology awarded the fifth “Computer Literacy Excellence Awards for Schools” for the year 2007 to Amity International School, Gurgaon.


Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Jyotiraditya M Scindia was also present on the occasion.

The award includes a cash prize of Rs.1.5 lakh along with a trophy and a certificate of excellence presented at a function to school principal Neetii C Kaoshik at Vigyan Bhavan on August 28.

The ministry institutes the annual “Computer Literacy Excellence Awards” to schools to encourage them towards achieving excellence in computer literacy and thereby consolidate the position of India as a major player in the global IT arena.

The award scheme at the state level and the national level is open to all recognized schools in the country.

It recognizes the performance of schools in imparting computer literacy over the last three years, availability of IT infrastructure and trained faculty and participation in IT related events at State/National level amongst various other IT related initiatives. (ANI)
