To implement the Recommendations of Sixth pay commission for the State staff

Kamalnath to be CM?

Chhindwara, Aug 22: The Congress party will present its senior leader Kamal Nath as Chief Minister for Madhya Pradesh in the forthcoming Assembly elections. This was announced at the convention of the party today here.
The State-level convention of the party was organised at the Dussehra maidan here today in the presence of senior leaders who took pledge to form government in the State. Issues raised during the elections were also spelt out. Some of these include increasing corruption, deteriorating power position and poor law and order situation.

The convention was attended by more than one lakh people. The senior leaders present include party's in charge for Madhya Pradesh and Union Parliamentary Affairs State minister, Narayan Sami; Congress spokesman and in charge media cell, Veerappa Moily, Union Commerce and Industries Minister, Kamal Nath; Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president, Suresh Pachauri; union minister of state for telecommunications, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union minister of state for agriculture, Kantilal Bhuria, former Chief Minister of the State, Digvijay Singh, Subhash Yadav, Satyavrat Chaturvedi, leader of the opposition in the assembly, Jamuna Devi, president of Election Campaign Committee, Ajay Singh and deputy chairperson of Vidhan Sabha, Hajarilal Raghuvanshi.

On the occasion, former MPCC chief Subhash Yadav placed the proposal for fighting the Vidhan Sabha elections under the leadership of Kamal Nath and proposed him as future Chief Minister before the people. This was seconded by former Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh who gave the call for formation of Congress government in the State in the forthcoming elections.

In case Congress forms its government in the State, the party made the announcement to waive off full loans of the farmers for five years and to provide free electricity up to 5 hp to them. Also to implement the recommendations of Sixth pay commission for the State staff as also removing the discrepancies in the fifth pay commission.
