Further tributes have been paid to Heath Ledger at the European premiere of the new Batman film.
The actor finished shooting his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight shortly before his death in January.
Christian Bale, who stars as Batman in the movie, and Maggie Ghyllenhaal, who plays lawyer Rachel Dawes, were among the stars at the premiere in London.
Bale praised Ledger's performance as The Joker, saying: "Heath has created a portrayal of him that exceeds any other that I've seen before and I think it will go down trhough all ages."
Director Christopher Nolan added: "He was terrific to work with on set, a very fun presence, a very gentle guy, just lovely to be around, an incredible professional so it was a joy working with him and I think when people see what he's done they'll be very very impressed."
The Dark Knight hits UK cinemas on 24 July.
