Samsung SL201 and SL310W digital cameras introduced

Samsung introduces two new digital cameras namely SL201 and SL310W. The Samsung SL201 is a point and shoot compact digital camera while the SL310W packs in excellent features at an affordable price.The SL201 sports a 10.2 megapixel camera with optical zoom 3.0 while the SL310W equips a 13.6 megapixel camera with optical zoom 3.6x 28 mm wide.

The Samsung SL201 offers Digital Image Stabilization while the SL310W provides Dual Image Stabilization (Digital + Optical). With the SL201 and SL310W digital cameras the user can take pictures in 11 scenic modes including landscape, Close Up, Sunset, Dawn, Night etc. Function Description and Photo Help Guide gives you a brief and easy to understand description about the settings in the camera. The Face detection mode automatically detects about nine faces, adjusts focus as well as exposure settings to provide better image quality. The Self Portrait mode automatically detects the subject’s face and adjusts accordingly to take a photo provided the subject is in the centre of the frame.

The SL201 camera features a 10.2 megapixel camera, an optical zoom 3.0, 2.7” intelligent LCD, SD/SDHC memory card up to 8 GB, face detection AF & AE, auto red eye fix, multi slide show, function description, photo help guide, self portrait mode digital image stabilization.

The Samsung SL310W offers 13.6 megapixel camera, optical zoom 3.6x 28 mm wide, 2.7” intelligent LCD, MPEG-4 movie mode, SD/SDHC memory card slot up to 8 GB, Dual Image Stabilization (Optical + Digital), 28mm wide-angle lens, self portrait, face detection, smile shot, blink detection, auto red eye fix, MPEG-4 recording, movie editing, optical zoom during movie, function description and photo help guide.

With the SL310W, consumers have access to a number of advanced and helpful features, including Face Detection, Blink Detection, Smile Shot, as well as an impressive wide angle lens and Dual Image Stabilization. Compared to the competitive offerings in this category, the SL310W offers shooters MPEG-4 video, allowing them to record high-quality video clips while on the-go and an intelligent LCD screen that will automatically brighten or dim for easier viewing based on available lighting.”

The Samsung SL201 and SL310W cameras are priced at $169.95 (approx Rs. 7,249) and $229.95 (approx Rs. 9,807) respectively. Both these cameras are said to be available in September 2008.(techgadgets.in)
