Five days back, Aamir Khan on his blog had asked for his fans' opinion on whether he should incorporate an additional song, "Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai" in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Since the film's length was exceeding beyond what Aamir was expecting it to be, he had earlier decided after a meeting with his film's team that he would not keep that song in the film. But with now encouraged with the response to his blog that he has decided to go ahead with this song, which will now feature in the second half of the film. But he is going with a one week experiment of keeping the song.
However, this song will not be seen in cinema halls outside India. This is what Aamir Khan blog www.aamirkhan.com reads, "This addition of the song is possible only in India as the overseas distributor cited too many practical problems. So half of you are going to slaughter me. But please believe me when I say that I tried my level best to convince them. And I am extremely disappointed that I was not able to. Maybe if you all kick up enough of a row on my blog that will convince them." He further adds, "But to those of you within India, I hope you enjoy the song, and I really wonder whether after seeing the song you will agree with us about deleting it in the first place. Am super curious."
Trade pundits claim it be a smart move by producer Aamir to ensure more foot falls for his film considering the fact that another young romantic film, Kismat Konnection is released today. The collections of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na during weekdays have begun to fall as it has only caught the fancy of the young generation. He wants to cash on his young fans by making them feel important and come in to see the new song. (entertainment.oneindia.in)
