Miley Cyrus Insists '7 Things' Is Not About Nick Jonas

Teen sensation Miley Cyrus denies her hit song 7 Things was written about her ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas. The Hannah Montana star split with the Jonas Brothers singer last year, but insists there are no ill feelings between them.

She says, "A lot of people think 7 Things is about Nick and that's fine. But mostly that song is about who they want it to be.

"Nick is someone that was really important in my life, but I don't hate him. It's a good song and it's fun."

In the song, Cyrus sings, "Your friends, they're jerks, and when you act like them, just know it hurts."

But Jonas knows the song is not about him. He says, "I think it's funny. I'm not insecure and my friends are cool, so it can't be about me."

Miley Cyrus Mania Takes Over NYC

Following a Friday morning performance on Good Morning America, Disney starlet Miley Cyrus switched up outfits and headed on over to MTV studios in Times Square to tape an appearance on TRL.

Accompanied by her mother Leticia and brother Braison, the Hannah Montana starlet greeted a massive gathering of fans before interviewing and taping segments which will air early next week to coincide with the release of her new album, Breakout (Due out on July 22).

As for her free show as part of the GMA summer concert series, Miley was reportedly worried that her recent photo controversies would keep people away. But that just wasn’t the case.

“I was extremely nervous until today, and now I’m like so excited. Everyone actually showed up,” the 15-year-old singer/actress told press. “I was like, OK, there are going to be two people, and they’re going to be paparazzi.”

Cyrus tells America's People magazine, "Madonna always reinvents herself, and that's what I want to do. Whatever comes my way that sounds good, that's what I want to do. Whether it's designing clothes or photography or whatever."
