Nicole Richie and Joel Madden: Downtown Rendezvous

Ever since their daughter Harlow Winter was born, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have been keeping a decidedly low profile. And yesterday they were spotted meeting up at a downtown apartment building for some family time.

The “Simple Life” cutie shielded her face from the paparazzi as she arrived at Granville Towers in Hollywood along with her 6-month-old daughter and some Coffee Bean refreshments.

Following a lengthy visit, Nicole and Joel both exited the apartment building with Harlow in her stroller. Like a gentleman, Madden took care of disassembling the baby carrier and placing it in the trunk before they drove off.

And when it comes to tattoos, it appears Miss Richie has had enough of Joel’s penchant for ink. A friend told press, “Joel promised Nicole that he wouldn’t get any more tattoos. Then a friend suggested a tooth tattoo, which is a photo imprinted on a tooth. When Joel told Nicole he wanted to get their daughter Harlow’s face tattooed on one of his front teeth, she shrieked, ‘Absolutely not!’”

Naomi Watts Takes Alexander Peter for a Stroll

She’s settled into motherhood quite nicely, and yesterday (July 28) Naomi Watts was spotted out for a walk with her one-year-old son Alexander Peter in New York City.

The awesome Aussie actress pushed her son’s stroller around the Soho district of Manhattan, looking very motherly chic in a deep v scalloped neckline dress teamed with cork platforms and three multi-length gold necklaces.

And not too long from now, Alexander is reportedly going to have a new brother or sister in the months to come. As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the “King Kong” actress is expecting baby # 2 with her fiancé Liev Schreiber.

As for her acting career, Watts has gone on record as saying that she’s planning on taking plenty of time off in order to focus on being a good mother. And rumor has it that she and Schreiber are planning a secret wedding for the not-too-distant future.

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden: Shopping and Dinner

Looking every bit the genuine Hollywood couple, Paris Hilton and Benji Madden enjoyed some quality time together yesterday with an itinerary of shopping and dining.

The former “Simple Life” babe and her Good Charlotte rocker began their spree at the Fred Segal boutique on Melrose and ended their retail outing at Benji’s DCMA store.

And although Madden doesn’t seem like the type to let anyone dress him, it looked like Miss Hilton may have had some influence on his ensemble, which closely resembled her own.

Later, the loved-up twosome was spotted leaving Koi restaurant in West Hollywood following a romantic dinner date. By then, Benji had managed to get back into his usual all-black getup, while Paris sported a t-shirt from Gwen Stefani’s label underneath a black leather jacket.

Kirsten Dunst: Sexy in Soho

It looks like Soho was the place to be yesterday for celebrity sightings. Not only were Naomi Watts and Lindsay Lohan both doing their thing in the trendy district, but Kirsten Dunst was also enjoying her time out and about.

The “Crazy/Beautiful” actress sported a sailor dress, black flats, and a pair of sunglasses as she casually strolled around with a few gal pals.

And during a recent interview at the 303 Gallery party in Chelsea, Miss Dunst explained to press the reason behind America’s preoccupation with voting on Tuesdays.

She said, “It’s all about America’s agrarian roots, see? November is the end of harvest, and the Tuesday vote allowed Sabbath-observing country folk enough time to horse-and-buggy it to the polling stations before Wednesday market.”

And while it seemed to work in the olden days, today “it’s not a holiday, and we’re one of the lowest democratic countries in voter turnout.” Her suggestion- “I would keep it the same day, just make it a holiday.”

Kardashian Ladies Check Out Style LA Fashion Show

If there’s one thing the Kardashian gals know, it’s fashion. And sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe, along with mom Kris Jenner, all showed up for the “Style LA” runway show yesterday (July 28).

Held at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica, California, the TMG International/CUUR annual “Style LA” runway show was quite a hit, with models sporting everything from sexy swimwear to beautiful dresses.

And Kim & Co. were having a smashing good time hamming it up for the paparazzi on the red carpet, before heading inside to get a dose of the latest trends in fashion.

The day before, Kim and Khloe were spotted at the 40th birthday party for McDonald’s Big Mac hosted by Ne-Yo, who also performed at the soiree along with celebrity spinster DJ AM.

Gillian Anderson Does the Late Show

With the big nationwide opening of her new flick “The X Files: I Want to Believe” Gillian Anderson has been doing some serious promotion. And yesterday (July 28), she was chatting up David Letterman on The Late Show.

The paparazzi caught up with the strawberry blonde pregnant babe outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre in midtown Manhattan, hamming it up with some fans and posing for pics.

And the expecting mother looked preggers-perky in a knee-length grey maternity dress with a cropped black jacket and some peep-toe heels.

Though she turns 40 next month (August 9th), Miss Anderson says she’s more than ready to embrace the ‘over the hill’ season of life.

“I’m looking forward to it. I gave myself such a hard time earlier on in my life, in terms of physical regimes and all that kind of stuff. You know, ‘Oh, my a**, oh, depressed, my thighs, oh my this and that.’ You’re often depressed in your 20s but later you start to care less. It’s less of a big issue, and that makes you much more content. I don’t follow any diets and while I go through stages of doing lots of yoga, I also go through stages of doing f**k all!”

Liv Tyler and Edward Norton Team Up in Tokyo

Though American audiences were introduced to “The Incredible Hulk” back in June, the Japanese got their first look at the green guy earlier today (July 29) at the big Tokyo premiere.

And Liv Tyler was in the land of the rising sun to help promote the comic book flick, looking hot in a strapless black floral print dress teamed with a pair of strappy black heels.

Tyler shared a few laughs on the green carpet (how appropriate!) with costar Edward Norton, who was looking dapper in a dark suit with a white button-up shirt and skinny black tie.

And while a lucky few hundred Japanese fans got to see the new flick today, the rest of the country will have to wait until its national release this Friday (August 1).
